he is in a bar drowning his sorrows in a bottle of vodka, he was going to die
anyway.

shirts, greasy palms he gulps, then slowly takes aim...squeezing, he expels a
stream of araldite onto the car's brake piston... Only one other person
witnessed the sabotage.

The frightened sheep offered... No! Lamb stew on a table for one.

couldn't bear to witness her husband disintegrate into an incoherent mess as
the Alzheimer's disease progressed to stage 3. But she still loved him, not for
the man he once was, but for the subtle warming smile that never left his face.
He would forever remain her knight in shiny armor.

These stories, as short as the are, carry a great amount of detail. It's a amazing how few words could provoke deep very deep emotions. One is able to relate to what ever the character is going through and through that, find a special connection. I found myself interested in finding out what happened to Nana, the married couple, the couple under the palm tree. The one about the sheep was humorous.
